| Have you ever thought about God's glory? What does that really
mean? Can we even see His Glory? You bet we can, let me
explain..... There is a topic, we'll call FORWARD FAITH. And
in this Forward Faith, Abraham has just lost Sarah, his wife to go home with
the Lord and he is asking God where to place her. The Lord states to him to
bury her not where she came from, but where Israel will be located.
This passage is located in Genesis 23.
The next chapter (Genesis 24) deals with Isaac about to get married and Abraham (his
father) is also up there in years and feels many of the things to come and
blessings from God will not materialize while he is still alive.
During this time in Exodus 33 and Genesis 24, we read that Abraham is
asking the Lord to see His glory. God replies that "...no man can see me
and live". We know that if God showed himself to man, man would die,
therefore God has to keep His back to us and the after glow of His goodness
and glory would shine around Him.
God did in fact say, I cannot give you my Glory (because of the
shine), but I can go one a little better and that is, "I can
provide for you My goodness" (or HESSED in Hebrew).
What God is interested in for all for us is giving us His best, His
goodness, maybe better said, His "WELL BEING".
That my friends, is what we should do for others. Sometimes it
is not easy, but we should do it. It says in: Matthew 19:19 Honor
thy father and thy mother: and, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as
thyself.
We all know that can be difficult, but it is a command. Within
that, we are to also look out for other's "WELL BEING". That too, can
be difficult, however, the Lord did it by healing others, feeding thousands,
taking care of those He could and did willingly.
The moral of this message, there are thousands and thousands of people
whom we could help in one way or another and the Lord has blessed each of us
with many different gifts, talents and resources.
The question remains, what are each one of us reading this going to do
about blessing someone else; such as a child, an adult, a neighbor, a family
member by looking out for their "WELL BEING"?
I pray you would consider those around you, those in Romania and pray
what the Lord might have you do to better their world and see the Glory in
the Lord through you.
Here are some little ones that need some "well being". Some love,
some tender care. What if these were your children? And they can
be if we all take a small part in making reality come true for them, such as
better meals, clothing, some love, birthday cards, gifts and
simply the
giving of yourself.
